Hi,

Have a question about an MX-5 euro specs 1800cc.
Want to install Megasquirt MSnS extra on the car. 4 injectors, 2 dis coils, should work.
It is used for slalom races. The original rev limiter is bugging me.
Is it possibl to gain power gain when I only install the Megasquirt. Rest stays original.
Of course I will get rid off EGR etc...

Somebody has some facts and figures to prove it ?

 

Yes, fuel and spark tuning can make a good deal more power as well as improving throttle response. Same as any other standalone ECU.

 

Always good to know that you'll make more power assuming it's mapped correctly.

The reason I've decided to MS my car is puely as a learning experience and that I will have cool stuff to mess with in the car

 

Well MS = Cool Toy for car.

You should be able to pickup 10hp and with argessive low rpm timing some down
low grunt too.
