I'd like to instal the EGT gauge I've had for 5-years, but Manual and I don't get along.

forgot to mention 36-38mpg highway cruising
5 speed, 4.30 rear 1.6l
460 pisser rx7 460 injectors
38 degrees of timing and usually tad leaner then stoich if not at stoich.
I haven't tried for a lean then 15.4 test in a while.

I'm there as well (36-38mpg).

Cruising speed is 75mph. 6-speed, 3.636 gears.

WTF am I doing wrong aside from gears?

BTW, this is 79mph with a GPS, the speedo says ~84mph; the tach says about 4100rpm.

Methinks my engine is hurt. I hope that's it, or I know nothing about tuning.

With these 3.636 gears, 75mph is at 3200rpm. If PW is the same at both crusing RPMs, then you are spending 4100/3200 = 28% more fuel.

Of course the PWs won't be exactly the same (should be higher at 3200rpm) but fuel consumption would still be higher at 4100rpm.
