Retard didn't set base timing...How much power was it costing me
As the title really, impatience and excitement lead to me never bothering to set base timing when I fitted megasquirt 2 years ago.
I finally bothered to set base timing today and found spark to be retarded 3.5 degrees and called myself stupid. This is what I thought my spark table looked like

But it actually would have looked like this

So with that in mind how much power is 3 degrees of timing really worth?
Its a 1.8 NB, WRX TD04, 2.5" exhaust, eBay intercooler , 20% methanol premix with 99RON. At a guess based on 111mph trap speeds at the 1/4 mile what you guys would call 270-275whp

To clarify, were you running 10 kpa lower with the 'fixed' setup up till about 6k? Thanks for the data, this is pretty cool.
Do you have spool data by any chance as well?

Original boost target was 180kpa until the 5000rpm 190kpa 5000-5500 then 6000-7500 200kpa
Revised boost targets are 170kpa to 5000, 5000-5500 180kpa, 5500-6500 190kpa, 6500-7500 200kpa
Its been a long time since I did a 4th gear spool test, but IIRC it made 12psi by 3000rpm with a 5 Speed and 4.10 rear end
