Okay so I built my diypnp, I had it running fine for a good minute , then I tried setting up launch control I put a new vtps and all and all of the sudden I gave t gas and something short circuited .. the diypnp plug has a little residue of smoke so I'm guessing something t happened there... the ecu plugs in fine , still reads in tunerstudio , but when I try starring it the engine cranks and I loose connection to the Ecu on my laptop, my car doesn't even start . I have no idea what could have possibly happened .where do I start the ecu works fine with a stim and when I plug into car it shows up on tuner studio until I crank my car it disappears like the power is gone ... my stock ecu works fine on the car so it can't be the wiring harness

you can open the MS and look for black/burned proves. It will be very easy to see if something got burned inside your ecu.
