Spluttering big time between 10 and 15psi

Hi guys,

got my 440s in and car runs ok still needs a good few runs or so with VE live, but since iv put my boost up im cant get passed 10psi without it spitting and sputtering, so a massive loss of power.

The afr;s around there seem rich which i beleive wouldnt cause the fault interly as they arnt unbeleivably rich.

Iv been advised that it may be spark blowout?

Iv had a seach but cant find one perticular figure theres lot of diffrenences.

Would anyone be kind enougth the let me know the ideal plug gap i need in my situation.

Thanks

Punctuation motherfucker, do you use it?

Check overboost.

Viper 08-22-2010 02:53 PM

Done.

I'm jsut after the plug gap for decreesing mine.

Any ideas please?

Plug gap of .010 and afrs should be around 9.9 or lower...

Just kidding. Unless you have nology plug wires like myself, you should run like .030 gap or less.... However, I am able to run .045 happily. Muhahaha!

AFR at 10 psi should be around 12.5 ~ 12.0 tapering to around 11.2 @ 15 psi.

Atleast that's how I roll.

Others may disagree.

Sounds like you may be running too rich? Over boost kicks pretty hard, but I'd be sure to check it out

I think this needs to be an auto reply in the megasquirt section... POST MSQ and LOGS!

Turbobarber 08-26-2010 05:12 PM

No .msq or log?

Must be hard tuning with no .msq file...

Don't expect help if you're unwilling to provide the requested information...

Hope you solved your problem.
