It keeps on going around until it hits the starting peg.
Wanna know how I know?
I was at 7000 RPM in 3rd and shifted into 2nd while racing a ******* POS Scion tC.
The tach needle swung all the way around at smacked the 0 rpm peg, blew some black smoke out of the exhaust, but the engine was completely fine... some how

this is the answer i was looking for
I doubt anyone really has bothered with it, so I might have to just accept this street rice story as truth. I'll just wire up the 13b megasquirt just like i did for the BP to the tach and see what happens.

Ive heard of several other people doing this while autocrossing, it want a 'ricer' move on my part, maybe if you actually shifted youre car fast you would know that there is a possibility of going from 3rd to 2nd. That being said it scared the **** out of me and I havent done it since.

I know with my shitty engine mount I pulled the money shift once. Luckily I clutched in before It went off the scale. But a scion? at least do it because of hot girls.
