I have a problem with the car surging/bucking or whatever you want to call it. very light throttle and load. like trying to hold 1500rpm in 1st it gets into a rhythm and unless you dip the clutch it gets worse and worse. any ideas? car is a 97 with a vvt engine and rev ms3 mini.

P.I.O. coupled with play in all of the gears, joints, and bushings.

 

turned out to be the vvt map. large changes in cam timing even at low load. fixed the map and now its smooth.
