Seriously, I had similar issues with, I think, the same vintage MS3-Basic. Is it the larger (longer) case version?
I fixed by adjusting the FW filters on the Crank Sensor. I can get you the settings I use when I get home this evening. Changing Sensors did not help. There are no pots to adjust, it uses optical isolation circuit, not VR circuit. |

Well new sensor and tried the filter with similar and more robust filtering, no dice, still have the same crap. Ugh.

Wow. That’s all I have. Ian (Codrus) had a friend add some capacitors to his input circuits. I don’t recall the details.

Funny, when I switch-off the "check engine light" function, the car works fine. Turn it back on and I lose crank signal. Weird. Car works now.
