Try turning off all noise filtering.

Bump

Matt Cramer 07-13-2015 04:26 PM

Any chance you've got the actual cam timing off a little?

browny23 07-13-2015 05:50 PM

Never touched it was fine before megasquirt

browny23 08-06-2015 08:06 AM

Bump still got issues thinking of putting a 10ohm resistor on cam circuit

Braineack 08-06-2015 01:19 PM

We know youre running an MS2 cpu/firmware, but what exact MS do you have?

find enclosed datalog page 96/97 sync loss occurs

Do you have ignition input capture set to rising or falling edge?

browny23 08-19-2015 11:01 AM

Rising i think if i choose the other it misfires constantly

browny23 08-19-2015 04:43 PM

Right so ive just gapped my plugs to .8 they r ngk bkr7e 11 so colder than standard. Also removed crank sensor and cleaned end of metal fillings refit and set gap about a credit card thickness and its still got the problem help me before i take the megasquirt out remove the cam circuit and optoisolator and replace with new parts

browny23 08-19-2015 05:28 PM

Also the ecu is wired in parallel with standard ecu sharing the cam and crank input when I wired it in the crank wire white wire is to the crank sensor and the negative black wire is not connected should it be connected? Also thinking about putting a small 5/10 ohm resistor to suppress voltage spikes if its that causing it

browny23 08-20-2015 06:56 PM

Right a little update ive just replaced the 2nd opto circuit in the ms2 with new parts and its still the same does seem to drive a bit better tho but maybe placebo effect so its a sync loss around 3k rpm cruising and if im flat out in boost does it about 5krpm with a bang and a flame and a very violent jerk
