Talk to me about break points :)
While trying to learn how to tune my car, I noticed the tables supplied all had different break points. Wouldn't it be easier to tune if all the break points were consistent? I know the tables will interpolate the values, but doesn't it make it easier to process mentally if the break points were the same?
Am thinking of making the 12x12 table (spark and AFR) breakpoints as follows:
MAP: 15/20/30/40/50/60/80/100/125/150/175/200
RPM: 500/750/1000/1250/1600/2400/3200/4000/4800/5600/6400/7200
And the 16x16 VE table will just add resolution to the idle areas.
MAP: 15/20/25/30/35/45/50/60/70/80/90/100/125/150/175/200
RPM: 500/625/750/825/1000/1125/1250/1475/1600/2400/3200/4000/4800/5600/6400/7200
Any violent reactions to these breakpoints? I know the 16x16 ones are bunched together at the lower left, but my issues are at idle anyway.
If I do change the breakpoints,is there a way to automatically convert my existing tables?
Thanks in advance, o Megasquirt gurus
