TIP:64 pin connector
2 Attachment(s)
Hi, I´m about to bulid a MS1 and have been doing a lot of reading in this excellent forum. My plan is to get my MS1 up and running as a standalone before I install a turbosystem (BEGI S1).
I would just share a tip on sourcing a 64 pin connector. Mazda 323 has the same connector, mine was from a 1995, paid 5 $ at the scrapyard for ECU with connectors:) |
Good tip, but you're gonna get a lot of shit for building an MS1.
|
Skip building an MS1, go straight to building a MS3x.
You can also buy the connectors from DIY Autotune for reasonably cheap. |
As this is my first encounter with ECU,s and beeing on a budget I thought the MS1 was good to start with :dunno:
|
The problem is the MS1 is really, really outdated at this point. Save up a few more dollars and head straight to the MS3x. You'll be thanking us once you get the car running, because the MS3 has a ton of improvements over ms1/ms2. Larger tables, more input/outputs, usb connection (no bsing with serial) etc etc.
|
ms3x is still a budget ecu.
|
Ok thank you all for the advice I'm convinced I'll go for the MS3!
|
Hi, I agree that MS3 should be in budget and moreover if MS1 is outdated then you not only face problems in procurement but also in price because you may have to pay more for MS1 than MS3.
