Default MS3 Pro

I am planning to buy a MS3 Pro (sold by 949 Racing) for my 97 Miata with 99 Engine. I am using the Cam Sensor and Crank Sensor from the 99, so no CAS.
I also have Trackspeed 12 +1 trigger wheel and want to run sequential injectors. I am also running AC and 97 Alternator. At some point I would like to hook up the EBC on BW Turbo.
Does MS3 Pro work with the 12+1 trigger wheel? Where can I get a base map to start with and how difficult is it to wire in the 97 harness to MS3 Pro?

Any and all pointers are mucho appreciated.

I got a MS3 Pro in my 1997 Euro-MX5 (stock engine, sensor-wise only replaced the O2 with a wideband). I got a basemap from MegaSquirtPNP by DIYAutoTune.com, I think I got the 94-95 one (as it engine-settings-wise should be really similar). I fiddled with it a bit but most settings matched up for me and the VE/AFR/ignition tables were a very useful starting point.

Wiring up the harness is a bit of work (25 or so cables to connect somewhere), but pretty straightforward. I did it via an adapter PCB that plugs into the stock harness that I then soldered the MS3Pro cabling to, to be able to swap ECUs back and forth (similar to the DIYBOB sold by diyautotune). If you are using mostly the stock wiring harness and you have the ECU behind the passenger seat (which should be the case for a 97), you can get a spare "rear ECU harness" that goes from ECU to connectors under the glove box / at passenger footwell, and just cut and splice that into the MS3Pro. I intended to do that, until I found out I have the ECU up front in the footwell and no such connector. In all, how difficult it gets depends mostly on where you do it, and how much space and spare wire you have to play with.

The wiring diagrams I found online were almost entirely accurate and useful. The one real issue I had was that my fuel pump relay was on a different pin than all the documentation said (1V instead of 1U, some silly European thing going on I think).

The 12+1 wheel is currently not supported; the MS3-Pro gives quite accurate timing with the stock crank trigger as it is.

Where can I get a base map to start with and how difficult is it to wire in the 97 harness to MS3 Pro?
We're working on a plug and play option for the '97 harness that should be out soon - just awaiting final reports from field testing it to put them on the shelves.
