Default 90 1.6L No TPS, Idle Control? closed loop

Hello I have a 90 1.6L with MS1 v2.2 installed. I think it's a Brain built unit (bought used). Question is when I have the idle control is closed loop mode, it looks for a tps signal to inactivate the IAC (I think). Since my car doesn't have a TPS the IAC will always be active right? Does this adversely affect anything as far as wearing out the unit prematurely since it will always be active? I realize it will go to minimum at speed but just wasn't sure if there is a better way to do this?

Seems like you could program it to deactivate above specified RPM.

Thanks!
Ron

The TPS has nothing to do with closed loop idle control. It does help tremendously with idle droop though.
