Unfinished tune, can't get ahold of Vlad...
I've been working with Vlad/18psi to get my car tuned remotely, but the last tune update I got from him was about two months ago and I haven't heard from him since, except for an email about a month ago saying he would try to get back on it soon. Looks like he hasn't posted here in over a month either. I'm sure he's got his reasons and I'm happy with his work for what I paid him, but I still need to get the tune finished ... can anyone here recommend another remote tuner that can help me get this car finished? Paypal ready.

He's on a sabbatical tending to miniature horses in Tahiti. Not sure exactly when he will be back.

Great opportunity to learn how to tune!
|
The Vladituned FB page has been fairly active. Try messaging him on there?

Well I'll be damned.... Woulda been nice to know so I didn't wanna talk a month to find someone else lol. Who else around here does remote tuning?
|
I mean I'm still doing it manually (VE Analyze via MLV) - but wouldn't a majority of remote tuning be figured out via paid MS and resultant VEAL? With the remaining timing adjustments needing dyno time?

You can send me a tune and I’ll take a look. Generally I turn off idle VE, closed loop idle, idle advance, and a few other things to make the fuel table that much better. Then you add them back for more drivability and seemlessness, rather than using these features to make a poor tune only ok.

18psi has had regular life take over for a bit. He'll resurface.

Well hello there :likecat:
Yeah, regular life, professional life, all kinds of lives. I'm finally in a position to start catching up on stuff. Best way to get ahold of me is on instagram (@vladituned) because that's on my phone and I usually respond quicker. In typical miataturbo fashion, I'm not coming out of the closet until the tunes are perfected :D |
Bump, just because I'm about a month in to the 5 months we actually get to drive nice things in a year, and I stopped getting emails back.

Vlad has been on a sabbatical raising miniature horses in Tahiti. Let's call it a mental wellness trip. But now he's back and ready to tune.

Everyone has been replied to as of last night. TUNING ALLTHECARS
And that includes a bunch of super duper uncommon setups :) |
Glad to hear this. I'm about to install my MS3 (finally), and really want to work with you on getting it dialed in. There's a lot of power left in this setup that I've been too timid to uncork.

Vlad is the man, worth the wait if any. MOR POWR BABY

First comment: "How about that carbon fiber lookie-loo bullshit" iinstead of "Wow that car idles better than any mouth breathing mustang owner with a carburetor has had or even deserves"
