Default Unfinished tune, can't get ahold of Vlad...

I've been working with Vlad/18psi to get my car tuned remotely, but the last tune update I got from him was about two months ago and I haven't heard from him since, except for an email about a month ago saying he would try to get back on it soon. Looks like he hasn't posted here in over a month either. I'm sure he's got his reasons and I'm happy with his work for what I paid him, but I still need to get the tune finished ... can anyone here recommend another remote tuner that can help me get this car finished? Paypal ready.

He's on a sabbatical tending to miniature horses in Tahiti. Not sure exactly when he will be back.

The Vladituned FB page has been fairly active. Try messaging him on there?

Can you recommend any resources for learning how to street tune a turbo car? I've done a lot of searching here, on youtube, in the MegaSquirt manuals etc but most of the in-depth info I'm finding is related to getting the car running and tuning idle. Vlad already finished tuning my closed loop idle and he was having me do autotuning runs then making adjustments on his end slowly working towards more aggressive numbers, rinse and repeat. I'm at the point where autotune makes very few changes if any but I don't know where to go from here.

Thanks PSI, I'll check out the FB page.

I mean I'm still doing it manually (VE Analyze via MLV) - but wouldn't a majority of remote tuning be figured out via paid MS and resultant VEAL? With the remaining timing adjustments needing dyno time?

I would assume so, but again, I don't know what his process was or how far we were from a "final" tune. He was having me do VEAL runs until nothing changed then send him the result and he'd make some tweaks, send it back, more VEAL, and so on. There were some settings he had turned off for this process that he implied we'd need to have on for the final tune and I don't know what those were. Obviously I could just compare my tables to others' around here and make some guesses but the whole point of paying someone else to help me was to be a little more confident in the result than that. There also aren't really any tuners near me that specialize in MS or Miatas so I figured who better to tune my car than one of the 5 people who spend their days shitting on noobs here for fun?

You can send me a tune and I’ll take a look. Generally I turn off idle VE, closed loop idle, idle advance, and a few other things to make the fuel table that much better. Then you add them back for more drivability and seemlessness, rather than using these features to make a poor tune only ok.

Just PM'd you, thanks! Vlad had already gotten my closed loop idle pretty solid so that's turned on.

Well hello there

Yeah, regular life, professional life, all kinds of lives. I'm finally in a position to start catching up on stuff.
Best way to get ahold of me is on instagram (@vladituned) because that's on my phone and I usually respond quicker.

In typical miataturbo fashion, I'm not coming out of the closet until the tunes are perfected
