needed for PNP or not using Ms-I and hi_res Generally only later MK1's are affected, but I've seen the occasional early one require it too, (never a 1.6 tho). |
My 89 model with a MSPNP needed the filter with HiRes.

Check the sticker on the underside of the MSPNP - if it identifies it as a Rev C, it already has the cap mod. It sounds like you have an earlier one that lacks the mod.

Silly question but are there 2 versions of the hires firmware, one for maf and one for iat? When I downloaded the 11d zip I only saw one version and it didn't specify.
