That's still pretty bad.
I would simply make the target go in a straight line from 120 kPa at 30% throttle, to 210 kPa at 80% throttle. And a straight line from 20 kPa at 0 throttle to 120 kPa at 30% throttle. |

I tried to do as you suggested, Jason. Did I understand you right? https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1421135329 What I don't understand with this table now - how is the start of the control function handled... As I understand the MS system of boost control: I set a lower limit delta (how much below target the PID control will be started and the solenoid activated - up to this point the solenoid is kept closed) Now - my Wastegate spring is 10Psi / 70 kPa (with standard ambient pressure of ~96kPa we are at 166kPa wastegate... If I set the boost control target below at lets say 120kPa - we are well below Wastegate pressure - the control algorithm will try to regulate the pressure - but can't regulate the pressure lower than the Wastegate pressure... :dunno: So all the targets below ~166kPa seem useless to me...? |
I would change the "80" in the first column to 90.
Yes settings below 166 might be somewhat useless. |
