Anyone usuing stock fuel with meth to go over 250whp?
I know I'm a noob to the forum,
But I have been building meth kits for years. I went 421rwhp and 419rwtq on a dynojet with my mr2 on stock 440cc injectors/stock ecu and pump gass...no tuning just my meth system usuing a m15 jet. this was done with a 46trim turbo ran unlimited boost(boost gauge only went to 35psi) I just couldnt find anyone running just meth for their fuel/timming/intercooling needs. I am curious to see how you guys do it here thanks David |

Anyway, I dont know of anyone who is using pure meth injection around here. I also dont know of anyone running that high of boost. I suppose it is possible though. Most of our guys seem to run water/methanol mixtures and add extra fuel with some sort of engine management system like EMU, Link, AEM, MEgasquirt, ETC |
Sorry man i only made 200 whp with mine that was about the limit. Our injectors are just to small with some supra 330's and rx7 afm and abit more boost i made about 250 guestimated never got a good dyno run on that one. 12 psi DD till a clogged jet owned cyliner number 2 i sugesst you dont work you turbo so hard on a miata 30+ psi and only 250 whp is stupid. when if you pick a biger turbo it can be done in 8-10 psi. Hope fully once i get my MS put in i will shoot for 300whp on some 460's and 15-17 psi. hope this helps.
BTW you must have not looked to hard i have 2343 posts here about how i use WI only and no timming controller FMIC etc, on stock ecu |

I am going to order a set of arps for her, but with pure meth my intake temps should be in the 70's-80's and I should be able to get some serious fueling usuing either a staged system with 2 m10's or maybe a progressive solonid with an m15 thank you for your insight, and I didnt search WI i put in meth Water is a great detonation supression tool, however meth works wonders for an easy fueling solution |

I run a simple kit with 176cc at 70 psi nozzle and 30% methanol and 100 psi pump pressure. have been thinking about a staged injection with seperate nozzle. I didnt see alot of difference with 40-50% meth levels and since i was already below ambient while in boost most of the time i figured all was well you might consider water to add more ballast and spool your turbo, it helps. This baord oves quickly man :p gotta be on your toes . GL lemme know if you run into any snags etc and i will see what i can do.

I cant pm yet bro, not enough posts The reason I only made those numbers with that level of boost, is the 3sgte have horrible VE, the stock cams and ports suck. Even with cams they dont flow, and I was on a 46trim turbo, which the highest hp prior to me was only 375 on an mr2. Where the extra boost came into play was the torque, I was able to cool the intake charge so much, I could run way out of compressor efficency and still make good torque. that turbo used to surge like all hell on my car |
I bet dude i am all in favor of slightly over sizing the turbo to the car. This way you can down play your usage in Liters/mile cuase less heat obviusly means you need less meth and or h2o

I get my pumps from english racing, and they are a pimped out shurflow, with well over 250psi. www.rrevmotorsports.com used to use the fjo meth pumps until they saw my hose fly off my jet during a dyno pull and my A/F's went well below 9's due to a 4 foot stream of meth flying into my intake. I cant believe we didnt have a fire :) |
i use a sureflow pump. but only the 150psi modle :( it came from snow but is essentialy the same as you get with the devils own or ebay kits. 170 $ will get you in on the GB the site you gave has no WI products listed still it does have some nice info. thanks for the new parts source :bigtu:

english racing is http://www.englishracing.net/ my buddy lucas english owns this shop he is a meth wizzard, runs consistant low 10's on his pump gass dsm oh and if you needs parts, www.horsepowerfreaks.com is a good source, my buddy Chris Burgman has great hookups with aem and many other reps so he generally has some of the best pricing you will find. I remember when HPF was ran out of his garage....like 10 years ago best of all david |

Looks like you really know your stuff, welcome. Didnt mean to come off as snippy, but I read your post not knowing who you were, so it sounded a bit pretentious. Running that high of boost with just meth injection is plain nuts, got a dyno chart?

I can see if i can dig up some dynos...I have owned over 80 rigs and I'm 22...i flip over 1/2 of them but a good amount I play with so I may have to access rrev's database to get my old plots my 1st red mr2 picked up 300ftlbs in 300rpms....175shot@3k rpms will wake up a 50trim with 25lbs :) its a verticle line right up I'll get you a few david |
