WI questions/myths?
Been reading up on WI and still have some questions:
1) My GM open air AIT is directly mounted in my intake manifold so the WI nozzle will definitely be before the sensor, but I have read conflicting info about meth being bad/okay for the sensor. There is about a 50/50 split from my searching that running meth will damage the AIT sensor and running meth being okay. I guess I'll just run straight water to be safe, but it'd be nice to know if I can run meth safely before the sensor.
2) I've also read conflicting info on nozzle placement. I will be running WI in addition to an IC. I have probably 2-3 feet of piping between the IC outlet and my TB. Some say placing the nozzle further from the TB allows for more charge cooling as others say put it right before the TB. I guess it doesn't matter all that much, but is there an "optimal" location?
3) For anyone running WI with an IC, are you starting the WI at higher boost levels? Are you injecting less water than the typical 15-20% of injector flow? Or are you just running a parallel WI setup as if you had no IC?

I'm pretty sure Kelly said he has no problems spraying before the open element sensors. One thing that would be pretty simple to try is to use a closed element sensor, it definitely wouldn't get damaged. The only PITA about doing that is the connectors are different. Maybe wire two connectors on the same harness so you can try them both easily.
