Default [NA/NB] 1.8 OEM Pistons 83mm 8.8:1 CR $100OBO

Up For Sale is...

USED OEM Mazda Miata Pistons from 1994 Mazda Miata.
These 83mm OEM Pistons are from 1994 Miata.

94-95 has compression ratio of 8.8:1
96-97 has compression ratio of 9.0:1
99-00 has compression ratio of 9.5:1
01-05 has compression ratio of 10.0:1

If you are planning on running turbo with OEM Pistons, these are the lowest CR OEM Pistons you can use. Selling all 4 for $100 Shipped, if you don't like the price please make offer.

From these pics, it looks as though the two on the left are recessed in the center portion and are 8.8:1 while the two on the right are raised making them 9.0:1

If this isn't the case throw some more revealing pics up. Otherwise I'd say you don't have a matched set here.

If indeed 8.8:1 they are a great item for stock piston builds. I've got some on the shelf waiting for the rebuild.

yep, it definitely looks like they're not the same ones.
also I hope no one is cazy enough to re-use rings, and re-use stock rods in a built motor.

thanks for this info, you are 100% correct on this.
i dunno how this happened because i pulled these out of a block myself....
but seems like i have 2 different set of pistons.

going to do some research on this, thank you!

MODS, please close this thread, i don't know what happened but 2 of my OEM pistons are mismatching.
