Well, I have one in my room right next to me that I paid 50 for, I also have some crinkle coat spray paint next to it I got for 8 dollars, so I can clean it and paint it for a total investment of $58 dollars.

However, I have found several in the ~30 dollar range that can be cleaned up and painted something prettier like black or red. Just sayin =P GLWS. |
Capri VCs are usually ~$50 range.

I tried, but unfortunately I cannot find any rust colored GTX/Capri valve covers period, let along for less than 150 dollars.

Not trying to shit on your thread...GLWS |
Not to thread crap (anymore than already has been done), but who buys a valve cover based on its condition? Unless it's been run over by a truck, it's 6 to a half-dozen.
|
where did you get that fitting for the pcv valve port?
|
step 1: get dirty valve cover
step 2: spay lose dirt with cleaner/starting fluid/gasoline/whatever, then throw in dish washer for stuck-on dirt. Step 3: buy spray paint. prime and paint valve cover. step 4: Advertise as awesome. Profit. |
I don't know why anyone would want one of these anyways. All it is doing is letting dust/dirt into your timing belt area which will greatly reduce the life of the belt. It's designed to be used with the timing covers the 323 has. Not by itself.

Non interference motor, who cares if you lose a few more miles from the belt. Looks good to me. GLWS.
|
Not everyone has the time to find, clean and refinish a valve cover and wont have issues paying for someone else's labor, looks good.
|
But the person who has the time could cast their own mold for $150. That's the difference ;)

You may want to lower your price just a bit. I see yours is ready to go but almost 5 times the cost is not really justified. Although you may be able to suck someone in on CR.net but good luck either way.

For reference - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/91-92...item35b36c7a66 2) That one doesnt come with a gasket 3) If you look at a few posts above I'm accepting offers(not $20) 4) If this thig doesnt sell I couldn't give 2 shits, I'm just trying to help someone have a cool looking engine bay for work I did for a car I sold.:fawk: 5) Not sure why you're posting here...thnking of slapping this on your 2jz? |
They are the exact same valve covers one is painted nice and pretty one is stock and pealing, and who in their right mind trusts that the valve cover they just bought has a good valve cover. I was just trying to show you that the price is high. Also you know this would never fit my car and if it did I would have already gone to the junk yard bought one cleaned it and powder coated it for less than half that.
