I can't recall, but does the Protege valve cover have the provision for the Miata coil bracket?

Not sure what I was thinking of, prepping it up thinking it would fit my 1.6 "BIG FAIL".

Maybe someone else can make better use of it.

"Zoomin" - it does have enough clearance for the back coil area if that's what you meant.

Thanks for looking.

Shoot me some PM if anyone's interested.

I want it, but don't need it. Any parts you are in need of for a trade?

Trade is ok, but not sure how we can go forth with such, unless it's a local trade.

Looking for wideband 02 sensor/gauge, 1.6 valve cover with raised letter, aftermarket Cam Gears, interior dress up, rear strut brace...

I can always add on my end.

So just to be clear.. this would fit my 97 1.8L no problem?

If so... and pending your possible trade with other buyer, I would like it.

It should fit the 1.8 fine.

It DOES NOT fit the 1.6 because of the back loop (as illustrated below). The 1.6 is on passenger side, and 1.8 is on driver side as the valve cover I'm selling.

Hope that clears it for anyone else trying to do the Protege valve cover.
