While I would still like to sell the tranny local, I am open to working out a deal if shipping is required. I am willing to go $750 shipped on the tranny by itself....$950 for the tranny and STS...

Having to ship the tranny shouldn't be too big of a deal man. Seriously, if someone is interested and willing to pay your asking price, why not ship it?
Find a pallet (usually in the back of grocery stores), put the tranny on the pallet and use some strong plastic straps to hold the bitch. Go to freightquote.com and set up a pickup. Easy as that bro. I personally use them and have yet to find any company that can do it cheaper for me.
