I have two 1.6 liter engines sitting in my garage. Both are rebuildable and both were running when I pulled them from the cars. One (with ~ 190K miles) was burning one quart of oil per 600 miles. The second (with ~ 147K miles) was burning one quart of oil per 150 miles (yep, it was my old turbo'd motor).

You pick them up in San Antonio, Texas and you can have them for free. If not, they're off to the scrap metal yard.

Hey how much to may ****** the Head and Intake manifold of one of those and ship it to KY 40162 please? I am sure it is less than the whole motor. Or block wich would probably kill me on shipping. think about it. If no one steps forward quick enough atleast send out a few parts.

 

If no one picks up the motors, I'll consider shipping the heads. I'd ask for shipping costs and enough dollars to reimburse me for my time pulling and packing heads and intakes. First dibs to magna-mx5 and newbsauce *if* I do so since they already contacted me.

The main thing is I just don't have enough time to do everything I want. Thus the offer of "free" if someone just comes and gets them.

Barry, if you end up shipping a head, please put me on the list. I have a DHL account; all you'd need to do is leave the box at your doorstep and DHL will pick it up from your home and deliver it to mine. Of course, that's assuming (1) you actually find time to pull heads and (2) the other people who contacted you first do not want them.

 

I guess another will come around sometime.

Arkmage, you seen this post, yet? Houston ain't that far. I got a friend that can get me Spurs tickets. If I had a better truck, I'd make a weekend out of it. But, I already got a spare 1.6 and 93 shell. Still, free is free. Where is the $100 shell again?
