Well, I must say I'm very happy with the head they sent me.
Hopefully, no one will jack them for the cores.
Cuz with my luck I may need another one soon and I need them to stay in business!

I thought thats what you did? Did you send them back a 99 core? The whole point of this thread seems to be how to get a 99 head without having the right core to send back.

^^ I'd like to know this too.
The CHI route sounds very appealing. My '99 head has 102k miles & is in good
shape but I still planned to rebuild + PnP it. But for $350 + S/H, a fully rebuilt,
1-year warrantied head beats most rebuild prices I've found.

I had a couple of chewed up 99 heads laying around so I sent them back a 99 head.
On ebay it says they will charge you $100 core charge if they don't receive a core back. On the box, when I actually got the head, the label on it says without a core returned you will not get the warranty but doesn't say anything about core charge.

So the heads are good? This company is legit? What about the springs and valve retainers? Are they tested, new ones? used ones? I'm really thinking about it...
For that price, plan on used valves (machined), used springs (tested hopefully), and all the cam followers and shims used as well.
A new set of CHEAP springs is gonna be $30-40, new set of manley valves runs $300.
There is nothing wrong with reconditioned parts on a head, so long as the work was done right.
