Axis Power Racing Carbon Fiber Parts (Hardtop, Seats, Fenders, Hood)
Title: Axis Power Racing Carbon Fiber Parts (Hardtop, Seats, Fenders, Hood)
I'm parting out my SSM Miata, which I had a bunch of Axis Power Racing CF parts on. All parts are currently in Bellevue, WA. I'm happy to ship anything here (at buyer's expense) as desired.
Hardtop - Asking 2700$:
This is a custom as-light-as-possible honeycomb core with thin lexan rear window top. It's 13.5 lbs fully assembled with the rear window, which is lighter than any currently available Miata hardtop for purchase. I've put in a set of the softtop window brackets/seals which are almost completely waterproof, but have a set of brand new one-piece hardtop window seals and brackets that will go with this in case the buyer wants to convert over. I will also include 4 metal brackets and the right bolts to hardmount it to the car.
More pics are available here: Index of /pics/miata/partout/hardtop
Seats - Asking 1600$ for the pair:
These are the lightest available seats for a Miata at 6 lbs each (without slider/bracket). The seats are two sizes -- the driver's seat is the smaller size that comfortably fits up to a size 34 waist (but I've had bigger drive it and be okay with it) and the passenger seat is the larger size that comfortably fits up to a 38 waist (again, bigger have been in it). The driver's seat is currently on the stock sliders and the passenger seat has a custom lightweight bracket to hardmount it directly to the floor. The driver's seat has a small cut in the fabric at the door-side shoulder bolster. I've had it covered with a small black piece of Gorilla tape, but continued ingress/egress has worn through that as well since it's the part that you can't help but rub against as you get in. You can see it in the pictures.

Hood - Asking 1200$:
This is (there's a theme here) the lightest available hood for a Miata. The hood, including Aeroquip latches and Lexan headlight covers (easily removable) is 8.0 lb. Aeroquip latches on all 4 corners and lexan covers designed for a fixed headlight conversion. I will include the brackets with hood pins for all 4 corners of the hood with the purchase. As you can see, it's currently painted Sunburst Yellow.

Fenders - Asking 1200$ for the pair:
These are, again, the lightest fenders you can buy. They're 2.2 lbs each, fully painted. They've been cut out slightly from the stock dimensions to easily clear the standard 275/35/15 Hoosier A6 tires. They're currently painted Sunburst Yellow as well. They have all the stock boltholes for attaching it as securely as the factory fenders.

It had its ups and its downs. It was super awesome just being able to whip the hood completely in seconds to check on stuff near the windshield. If it was windy and you just needed to be able to quickly poke at something, it was a little more annoying having to undo all 4. If I were to do it all over again, I don't know what I'd do, as the benefits about equalled the annoyances.
