Not to crap in your thread.

I may be wrong but; I once contacted a guy selling a Xede for a 99 and Stephanie told me it would not fit my car. I have a 96.

Let's hope Stephanie reads this threads and comes to the rescue.

I just started looking into the Xede and I am unclear about that too. I have a 99. Many other ECUs like Megasquirt list different models for different years so it would make sense that you need a model year specific ECU. My big questions is, what is the difference between the different setups. Are there physical internal differences between the ECUs or would you just need to change out the harness and software/firmware?

I think BEGI sells the Xede for $899 new without injectors!
I could be wrong.

I suggest you talk to Stephanie at BEGI. That's what I did when I found the one that was being sold from a 99. She was the one who told me it wouldn't fit on my car.

To the OP; sorry man. I'm not trying to mess your sale.

I confirmed with Stephanie today that I need an 99-05 version to work on my 99. She said that there are several different Xede model numbers and the "H12" is the only one that will work for me. I assume that yours has a different model number. If anyone runs across a 99-05 Xede for sale, please point the my way. Good luck selling yours dd and thanks for the info.
