Benefit from my misfortune!! Turbo FrankenMiata
Well, in case you're wondering where I've been...
I've been diagnosed with a pretty serious thing. The past few weeks have been Super Weird, to say the least. Anyway, it's serious enough to warrant thinking about what to do with a number of unfinished cars I have. And so I'm selling the FrankenMiata.
Here's what I've got:
The car is a '99 Miata. THIS CAR IS AN UNFINISHED PROJECT. I've transplanted the motor and six speed from a 100k-ish 2004 MazdaSpeed Miata. It's got a Tochigi-Fugi LSD (3.90 gear) from an '05 Miata with only 40k miles.
The motor is stock internally and in great condition.
Turbo is stock MSM IHI. MSM intercooler on custom mounts. All piping powder coated, all couplers replaced with HPS silicone and t-bolt clamps. Aftermarket (BEGI?) throttle body elbow. (Not stock plastic). Forge BOV. Turbo is on New Fleabay stainless manifold but includes OEM log too. Fleabay down pipe.
Custom Cool air intake with custom airbox/heat shield. Draws air from hood louvers, keeps master cylinders cool too.
New BEGI Fuel Distribution System and new BEGI 450 Denso injectors. Intake has had VCTS butterflies removed and shaft holes filled. Intake and custom cam cover powder coated candy red over silver.
New adjustable exhaust cam gear. New DIYAutotune EBC.
Mishimoto radiator, fans and shroud. Mishimoto Catch Can.
New Reverant MS3 Basic with extended PNP harness to allow ECU mounting in former Passenger Airbag space.
Simpson Design hood and Rear spoiler, nicely done. New '01 nose with TougeRun lip. Rolled and pulled fenders. Car could use paint, but is in overall good condition. '01 Halo headlamps. Glass window top about a year old and great shape.
One-off custom HardDog Cage. Spec Front, Double D rear with an added harness bar. They custom made a zip-on leather cover too, semi-circular racing padding in any possible head-contact areas. It's a VERY easy cage to live with. Sparco Sprints on custom slider rails, 5 point belts. Seats have a few small burns from sparks while welding an adjacent project. (Duh) Custom vinyl flat door cards. Short shifter. Aftermarket (Grant? IDK) wheel. Alpine head unit. 5 Panel Wink mirror. Two Gauge Pillar Pod with Innovate MTX wideband O2 and Turbonetics boost. Single DIN three gauge panel with VDO Water Temp and Oil Pressure gauges.
Koni yellow coil-overs. Unknown 1" solid sway on Poly mounts, solid adjustable end links. AWR offset Delrin upper CA bushings, all other CA (front and rear) bushings are Black poly Energy Suspension, drilled and grease-fittings installed. Car is sitting on zero-offset XXR's with 205/50/15 Falken Azenis. Wheels and tires are in great shape but would rub. (I put them on just to roll it around when I took my other wheels off.)
As mentioned, the car needs completion. ECU and gauges not installed, minor fuel plumbing to be done, Nose just hung on car. Everything else is in place. Car was built to thrash. I have a bunch of money in the car, but recognize that it's unfinished so I'm pricing it for a quick sale at $7500. More pics to follow.

A few last details-
The car is filthy in these pics. It's nicer than it looks.
I genuinely don't give a **** about your opinion. If you don't like the car, the mods, the parts used, the color, the wheels, my cluttered shop, whatever. I seriously have much bigger fish to fry than to entertain a bunch of idiot behavior. It was built to be a fun car to thrash on the street, where 99.9 percent of people spend 99.9 percent of their time. If you "get it", buy it. It's a fraction of what I've spent. If you don't get it, I genuinely don't care.

Oh, re Simpson, he may not be- I got it from him about 5 years ago and he didn't seem especially motivated to whip one up at the time. Super nice guy though, and he does beautiful work.

Bumping this thing again. Really need to get this off my plate. Final reduction to $5,750.00 - That's like paying for the ECU, cage, motor and six speed and getting everything else free.
Anybody? Anybody? Bueller?
