Borg Warner EFR 6758 V-band turbos

Hi guys,

I know I'm more of a lurker over here. You can check my background on NASIOC.

I have a couple EFR 6758 turbos with aluminum supercores for sale. They are low mileage off of the Lotus IRL engine program.

With that being said, they come with the motorsports compressor housings too! Weighing only 9.92 lbs with the 0.85 A/R housing!!!

I have prints to send for the V-band flange, Cummins part number (readily available online) for the clamp, and also for inlet diameters for those not wanting to design their own...or just buy a new comp cover.

I have new 0.64 housings as well, as you can see in the pic. Also, I have 0.85 housings already on a couple of the turbos.

The ugly, a few of the compressor housings have cosmetic damage, to a little TIG well, sanding and you can disguise it....or just paint it ;)

All turbos are between 3317 miles or 3334 miles. All spin freely. Bearings are snug and no shaft play. Ganassi kept the turbos paired with maifolds and pulled from use when changing out the inconel manifolds (the manifolds fatigued).

Ugly housing turbos are $1000 Only one left
Clean housings are $1350 Only one left
New 0.64 turbine housings $325 Only two left

To replicate the 0.85 turbos would be $1740 but would be stuck with the standard EFR comp housing.

Those are sexy as fuck and apparently you're local. And I'm friends with you on Facebook.
If I wasn't broke....

... I just bought the stuff for 16" wheels, those R75As and the camber radials crave.

Sexy though.

Yeah, Jared put you in contact with me not too long ago...about something else. Aren't you in NOVA? I used to work with Jared up in Hagerstown but am in Virginia Beach now.

Shuiend; messaged you back and can fire off the flange pattern to you.

Pictures of the compressor and turbine wheels?

If you come up to joisey and drive my car you'll want one of these anyways. ;)

Damn these are nice. I wish the vband housings had wastegates and that those compressor housings had bpvs but damn that weight. Looks like some of these turbos found their way into the wall or a vice, should be fine though. All these compressor housings are drilled for the speed sensor already right? So you'd need to run a speed sensor or a block off plate.

I can snag them today.

That's what's nice is you don't have the junk EBCS, issues with WG actuators not holding boost, and the recirce valve that I know a lot of the bigger boys hate. I think they're work fine on the smaller range (like these).

Correct, the housings are actually drilled and tapped for a EGT or exhaust pressure. NPT plug fixes that.

I haven't checked to see if ALL of them have been. I know all the ones that I torn down to inspect were drilled. I'll check today.

I'm keeping a 0.64 housing and a 0.85 housing for myself as I'm super curious to see the transient turbo response ('recovery') versus lag and top end power for both housings.

I mean the compressor covers being drilled where the speed sensor goes.

Homemade WRX 12-16-2014 10:05 AM

bump to the top.

I didn't have time to pull them all back out of their boxes and packaging. The ones I did check were all drilled out for the speed sensor and EGT probes were tapped but were plugged on the used housings. The new housings are tapped but not plugged.

Now that I'm back in town, I'm hoping I'll have time to get out to the garage to get the rest of them check and pics of the non-dinged compressor housings.

They all seem quite clean, no damage and bearings are tight. So as to save me time from tearing apart every single turbo (safety wire and all), are you interested in a particular one of them?

I have very limited time before I leave for a cruise on Friday, that's why I ask.

Thanks,
Micah

What prints, 2 booklets of instructions were the only things in my box besides the turbo.
