Completely understandable.

Also, open to trade for a complete Devil's Own WI Progressive kit, just in case someone has a new one sitting around waiting to be used. Can't hurt to put that out there.

No I'm serious. You don't want the lights I have on my car in a non-projector housing.

HIDs FTW.
I just swapped headlight kits to the Moss units (projector low beams). HIDs are next to go in, but I refused to put them in the BSPs. I tried it, and the light scattered badly, not to mention horrible hot spots. On typical halogen bulbs (even Silverstars), the BSPs are great units.

I just can't justify THAT MUCH for headlights. This HID light setup was already like 200$! And this kit is better than my last one, which scattered even worse!

A while back a member on here was selling a kind of rickety looking set of the BSP lowpros that I almost snatched up, but I decided the overall cost wasn't worth it. The exact light used in the Moss setup is the 90mm Hella retro modules. They're water tight and ultra high quality units, but they're like 110$ a piece. So the like $200 he wanted for the lights plus an additional 200, well, you know.

Yep, I understand that. I lucked out and snagged the Moss units in perfect shape from someone that was turning their car back stock, and I had the original pop up lights, which was part of the deal. They weren't cheap, but they didn't cost the $500 Moss charges for them new.
Also, I live in the middle of nowhere with very little street lighting, and decided after sliding around 3 deer one night that I missed the output of the HIDs that my old car had, and that the investment would be worth it compared to the cost of losing the car.

Oh absolutely. I'm just an HID ****. Everything I own has HID lighting.

Hell my Ninja was the first one to get it about seven years ago. Found the setup in a junk yard of all places. I've always been a huge kid at heart, so when I see something I have to play with it. Spotted the teardrop light on a crashed up Crown Vic and had to go play with it. Upon messing with it for a bit I noticed the letters "HID" on the quartz lens. Snagged the whole setup. D2R 55 watt 4700k setup by UnityHID. That light is in a standard parabolic housing but nobody ever flashes their lights at me even though it lights up everything you can see in front of me. My safety, guaranteeing they can see me is more important to me anyway.

Anyway I'll stop jacking your thread. I'm in a local miata club so I'll pass the word around if anyone is interested I'll send them your way.

getting some nice lighting is a project that I would like to do one of these days .... one of these days. I'll do a fully custom kit though when I do mine (unless some great deal comes along) and use some HID projectors somehow. Too far off to think about now though.

I just sent payment for them and I'll be buying the Hella projector conversion for $130 at Amazon.com.
