like the title states, I have a broken Cannon Powershot s410. It turns on and takes pictures just fine, and uploads to the computer just fine as well ... However the display screen does not work so there is no way to adjust the exposure, take timed shots, or anything else that uses the display menu.

Camera comes with 512mb card, charger, and extra Li-ion battery. I just took these pictures with the camera, to show that it works.

If you're ever looking to buy another Canon, Canon has a pretty good camera trade-in program if you can't sell it. They use to take any old piece of crap as long as it had "Canon" printed on it.

This would work well for short in-car vids since you won't be looking at the screen anyway... just a thought. Bump for a good deal IMO... you can't get a fully working older example that shoots video at that level for the price.

 

Is the screen cracked, or does it just not turn on? Does the backlight go on?

 

yes the backlight turns on but the screen remains black
