Recently got scammed on some injectors over at m.net.

Sent payment a month ago, still haven't seen parts. Last email from him was three weeks ago when he said he had received payment, and would email me the tracking number. Even then it was suspicious since he only replied after two emails from me asking if he had gotten the payment, and this was 5 mailing days since I had sent it priority.

For a scammer he's pretty slick. He either double sells real parts, or really does his homework. He can answer specific questions about parts, and sounds nice enough.

I still can't believe I got scammed as I'm usually very wary. I wouldn't even buy from one of our own forum vendors when he couldn't send me better pics.

This guy set everything up well, and then just dropped off the planet.

My mistake was sending a money order in my haste to get payment to a seller with a fast moving part and a fair price. Paypal had a couple of hundred in limbo while they authorized an account and made the transfer, and SO and I had sworn off allowing payments to hit credit card.

Don't be like me...I feel like **** and my budget is already tight enough. Worst part is that what was a well planned build ended up waiting on this douchenozzle.

I hope if this ever happens to me, that Paypal will work for me...

 

I am now strictly a PayPal user, and really have always been.

I just let this one little transaction fall through the cracks, and it ended up being the one that nailed me.

 

Go get 'em. Google him and everything you can find and I'll bet you find a few phone numbers. HMT does call-a-thons for scammers. It's ******* hilarious. And sometimes gets them to ship or refund too. But if you get his number, call him everyday for the rest of your life.

 

That was my original plan, but I never got his friggin' number, and can't find it online (without paying).

I was an idiot for making this transaction. I usually cover my ***, but let this one come back to bite me.

Some of it had to do with me giving Brian@anythingmazda hell for weeks since I wasn't sure if he was about to scam me on a turbo kit. After finding out he was a vendor and in general a pretty decent guy, I tried to lay off the paranoid buyer thing a little.

Oh well.

Oh yeah, you'll need to get his mothers phone numbers, boss's number, wife's number, etc. Things get good.

Also, you can find their number somehow. People on HMT dig up all kinds of info on people for free. I'm not good at stalking people either, but I know it's doable.

 

Name does not sound familiar for anyone I know locally. Conyers is not too far away though.

EDIT: Update - address at Hidden Creek is owned by Troy Augustin and has been rented out to one Phyllis Hall who has been sued in court by Mr. Augustin on 2/9/2006 and on 9/10/2008. Both times for non-payment of rent.
