Will these plug right into the fuel rail and the head without anything special like having the make spacers/shims for the head when putting DSM injectors into a honda motor?

I know they'll plug into the wiring harness without an issue. My question is if the nozzle will fit into the miata head without having to get new hardware.

3 Fuel injectors

The 1.6L (203cc) fuel injectors have enough room to run about 5-6psi. However at this level, the fuel pressure required to get enough fuel into the motor through the small injectors becomes so great, that the injectors can actually lock. If you are running more than 140-150rwhp, chances are the injectors are maxed out. A very common upgrade is to install the 1.8L injectors. These will should provide you enough room to run about 7-9psi of boost (170-180rwhp).

94-97 (tan) 265cc - #195500-2180
99-00 (red) 240cc (pass on these) -#195500-4430
01-05 (Lt. purple) 265cc -#195500-4060

Ideally you want to be able to run larger injectors at a lower fuel pressure, however, without additional fuel management this is not possible. The stock ECU has some wiggle room to run a larger injector, it usually requires tuning with the AFM to idle. A few people use the larger RX-7 AFM (B series) and 305cc injectors on the OEM ECU. The 1.6 ECU should be able to idle up to 330cc injectors. However it will require tweaking the AFM idle-mixture settings and spring tension, sorry MAFers.

If you are using a “piggyback” fuel management unit such as the E-manage, the popular injector to use is a 305cc injector from the Supra. If you are using a replacement ECU the popular choice are RC 550cc injectors.

The Miata uses high ohm injectors. Also know as saturated injectors.

I don't really mind what that black stuff is, just as long as everything is sealed up. For the record, I just bought these.

Interested, but like Slidin'Miata, I'm curious what's up with the first injector in the pic. Let me know if they are still available.
