Don't know if some of you guys have heard back lately from the family relative. I've sent pictures of what I bought and haven't heard back since. Going to escalate it on Friday if nothing still.

I got my injectors, but two are right and two are wrong. I told him that I wanted a refund.

He got in trouble before for scamming a guy in NY out of a LS1 motor and Trans out of a GTO he had. Got the money but never shipped it.

I don't know if I would be complaining about a connector right now...

seriously, you could be dead, like that poor girl.

I really hate scammers, don't get me wrong, but pining for sympathy right now isn't decent or tactful.

Have some respect dude.

gotcha

not really trying to single you out, it just seems that this thread went in the wrong direction.

It's really strange to see something on the news, even have my wife ask me about it, and wonder how others seemingly don't care.

The conversation we had (wife and I) was about self defense, and not how Chucky never got back to me on those shocks.

I think the problem is that people are assuming that you are either upset about getting ripped off OR upset about what he did to that girl. In my mind they are two independent events that require independent thought processes. If I was a person that didn't get my stuff, then i would be pissed and vocal about it, BUT that doesn't mean that i think it is more important than what he is accused of doing to Ms. Pina. You don't have to choose one point to be upset about, they can co-exist seperately.

This was his for sale thread, so i find it an appropriate place to discuss not getting what he was selling. If I started another post in another forum about what he was being accused of, and then I went on about how he didn't ship my my injectors, then i am out of line.

I see your point, and you are right.

It just struck me the wrong way. I apologize for implying that you (p51hellfire) were inconsiderate.

I came in with the wrong attitude, not you guys. I'll now leave with the right one. Take care.

Sorry life/work/etc has put you in such a spot, I know you'd jump on some insurance for your awesome build. Being an employed engineering student with a family, I know what missing out on opportunities is.

Seriously, if you get to the point you are considering WI, shoot me a PM and see if I've even taken the parts out of the box yet myself.

I hope you get more time to do what it is we all love: tweaking, tuning and driving it fast.
You are one nice sonovagun.

From what I read, that scam got him arrested, and therefore fingerprinted. If he had not scammed, they might not have his prints on record in the first place, and therefore would not have matched him to the duct tape on the victim.

I don't know if he's guilty or not. My fingerprints are certainly on many objects in this world, some of which could no doubt be used in a crime- baseball bats, pipe wrenches, knives, guns, propane cylinders, used bags of fertilizer, etc. All kinds of things that have legitimate non-criminal use but that look really bad and can be quite prejudicial when printed next to your mugshot in the morning paper. The duct tape alone is not proof of anything, although it sounds like the authorities may have more than that.

Bottom line, scamming is not good for you, and the internet is not a magic cloak of invisibility. The mere existence of your fingerprints in a criminal database isn't good for you either, guilty or not.

Chuck's dad did right by me. Full $100 refund plus another $10 to cover paypal fees and return postage. He hasn't even picked up the parts from the post office yet. Props to the dad for cleaning up Chuck's mess.

I met his dad yesterday...it probably does suck to be him.

I picked up Chucky's shocks, and a Fidanza short shifter.

His dad is a really nice, respectable guy, and I can't help but think Chucky has to have some of that character.

I will vouch for his dad not having any reason to scam or mislead anyone.

He does have a lot going on though, as he said another one of his children is in the middle of a move.

I had worked out the basic deal that Chucky had given me before, and waited two days without an email reply. I finally just took the liberty of looking him up on a peoplesearch site, and he said to come right over. He had the parts out when I got there, and there were no issues with them being as described.

I can't imagine he's enjoying dealing with this part out, but he was really nice about it.
