Default Does anyone know 94LagunaR?

I sent him money 7/3 via paypal for a set of IC/piping we had discussed. Last I heard from him was 7/7 when he said it was boxed up and ready to ship. Havent heard anything from him in two weeks and his inbox is full now so I have no way of getting in touch with him.

Does anyone know him in person that could find out what the status is? 2 weeks seems like a long time without shipment or even communication after I have paid

You have 6 weeks to file a paypal dispute. First stage is a shot across the bow that should get his attention. Second stage is where they attempt to recover your money.

Yeah tried his email also, no response.

I gifted the paypal to avoid the 3% charge for either of us. the quick attempt I made to complain on paypal seemed to prevent me from filing a complaint on a gift, rather than a purchase/transaction.

I like to assume people are good people and he just forgot or something happened to him, but im starting to think he pulled one over on me..

Well his last activity here was: Last Activity: 07-07-2013

on cr.net:Last Activity: 07-03-2013

So maybe something happened?

He is kind of a new member at least on mt.net. So dunno if trustworthy.

He's a fairly active member on CR, It is a little odd that he hasn't logged in since the 3rd.

Thanks everyone for the help, I did have his email from paypal so I have sent him a couple emails asking what the status was of the package, and how I was slightly concerned due to the lack of communication. I had noticed he hadnt been on here in a while also which is what helped me believe something may have happened, but at the same time he could have just as easily decided to stop logging in now that he made some money, and make a new account or something.

Like I said I like to assume people are good, especially on a forum like this, but I went ahead and attempted to file a dispute on paypal. Since it was a gift it technically may not go through but i tried anyways. If something did happen to him, I can always repay him.

hope it works out

this is why you NEVER, EVER send anything as a gift unless you either know the person, or it is a reputable long time well known member that you have no doubts about

Yep tough lesson to learn, I just learned my lesson too. Just have to be careful with scammers.

Well I just got an email from him, he had gotten pretty sick and had to go to the hospital to have his gallbladder removed and he apologized for the lack of communication. So he should be home in the next few days. So I can continue to assume people are good people now haha

Haha yeah. What an eerily accurate guess. Wish I had guessed that before assuming the worst. He even offered to throw in some extra stuff to make it up to me which I declined but it was still nice of him. Seems like a good guy.

I would freak out, but after all turned out to be a good guy. I'm new to buying with paypal from people, but it seems like people are very comfortable with doing that on this forum. I feel a little more comfortable now

UPDATE: I NEVER RECEIVED MY PARTS! He continured being flaky and terrible at communicating, despite claiming two weeks ago that he would be released from the hospital "tomorrow" Then when I checked back in to ask for him to just refund my money since this had gotten ridiculous, he went silent. Haven't heard from him since. I am accepting that he just scammed me and I wanted to warn everyone else

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM 94LagunaR!!!!
