Default Domain Names for Sale

I am not 100% sure if this is ok with the mods but I will have a go at it.

Domains for sale:

BoostHogs.com $1200.00 obo
SpeedMiata.com $550.00 obo

One is a parking page right now and the other one is empty.

Well, those are good names and I think I am somewhat close to their value, but obviously the market will dictate their real value.

ok so this post isn't thread crapping.

Website Value Calculator » What is YOUR site worth?

speedmiata.com=$78
boosthogs.com=$78

and do you have any proof that you currently own these web address's?

except he's selling the names and not the site. if the market will bear his prices, then that's what they're worth. if nobody wants them... then they aren't worth what he's asking.

if you want to negotiate, that's one thing. if you are just posting lowball values for no reason, knock it off.

That web site sayd that miataturbo.net is only worth $78 dollars as well, and that miata.net is worth $57,000. Wonder what exactly they base it off of.

I agree that there is no way in hell that a website can tell you in two seconds what your site is worth. It's annoying becasue you always want to have a mathmatical way to figure things out and things like this are always "whatever someone is willing to pay".

I was trying to think of places to sell it better and maybe a supra forum or performance diesel forum. Something that really makes alot of boost.

Websites that figure out the price of a domain probably take into account the amount of unique hits it gets over a period of time, how high its ranked on search engines, how many links point to it, how much off-site traffic it generates. That's just the basic stuff. If you are more curious go look at how website performance data is compiled and you will understand why miata.net is worth 57k and Miataturbo sold for less then 5k.

Domain name squatters sell based on what someone is willing to pay for it. Saying a random number like 1200 or 550 isnt gonna get you payed easily because you have nothing to produce to show that its worth that much. Also take into account that miata.net is a "one word" domain name, these are none existent for the last 10 years. Miataturbo, and the ones he listed are two word domains, and those arent worth as much right off the bat.

To the OP: Throw the domain on ebay and see how much you get.
