btw- that waterpump exit looks like a good piece for a turbo kit- gets the hose away from the hot manifold

 

I just happen to have one of those outlets from the escort my engine came out of... I should put it to use when I get the turbo in.

The valve cover looks broken on the rear exhaust side.

 

damn- you're right. Looks like it took a hit right on the cam cover bolt/boss and got pushed in. Too bad - I like those cam covers.
speaking of water fittings- check out the rear cover. Looks like a perfect piece for a coolant reroute. The heater hose would need to be routed from the intake side of the rear exit on the head.

 

wow, nice find. there is a 92 xr2 for sale just north of me for $1200 that I might go look at. maybe keep the engine and part out the rest.

 

the xr2 came with a stock turbo

 

I want that water outlet. I could mount my turbo lower with that.
