Default The end of an era: Theseus part-out

An era is ending. I've decided to dismantle and part out Theseus, my black turbo race car, and redirect my time and resources into a different car that's better suited to my future product development plans. The list of parts on this car is long and stacked deep with some of the nicest stuff you can buy for a Miata (and a few things you can't normally buy at any price). I'm sure I will be adding items to this list that I've forgotten about, so check back.

Sorry about the crappy pics, I snapped them quickly and I am not a photographer, even by hobby standards. If you're interested in something and need better pics, just ask.

Built VVT longblock. Supertech 8.6:1 pistons (83.5 or 84mm, can't recall which), M-tuned H-beams, Boundary oil pump, ACL bearings, ARP head/mains, stock head/valvetrain (valve job/seats done with the bottom end). Low hours (like 10-ish), but hasn't run in a couple of years. Turns over freely, didn't need to pop it loose. Priced accordingly at $3000$2750 obo. Shipping to the west coast is typically $250, east coast is typically $550.

Precision 600hp FMIC with mounting brackets. $350 shipped (it's big)

OS Giken LSD with 949Racing Hi-power tune, brand new OEM Mazda 3.636:1 gears, FC Rx7 rear housing with ES poly bushings. Balancing guibo removed for reliability. Built by Rear End Specialties in Santa Clara. Zero hours. Retail on this diff is $3k+. Will ship the FC housing separately. $2500 shipped$2250 shipped.

~7lb carbon hardtop shell. This was a blem top made from carbon that was left out of the freezer for too long. No functional difference but there are a couple of places where the resin didn't flow fully. Carbon UV-resistant primer, which should be used anyway, will make the top cosmetically flawless. I haven't done anything beyond store it indoors since I bought it, unfortunately. I have carbon mounting blocks made for it, and instructions on how to install the blocks. I also have a Racing Shields lexan rear window I had intended to install in this top. I'm not sure you can buy this top at any price. Same part that is used on all of the 949Racing 25 Hours of Thunderhill cars. No window seals, obviously. You cannot buy a nicer, lighter race top. I'm probably going to regret selling this. $2000 for everything (top, mounts, window).

Rharris vented hood with integrated headlight lids. $250+ship.

Rolling shell. Originally a 1994 C-package car. Clean California title. No major accidents, frame rails are all straight. Aligns straight. TC Designs cage, driver/passenger NASCAR bars, straight dash bar with steering column mount. Front bumper is a hacked up Racing Beat Type 2 nose. OEM aluminum hood. No front fenders. Doors are OEM steel, heavily gutted. Rear quarters are Autokonexion +30mm full replacement quarters, the OE quarters have been cut out underneath them. ES bushings in the suspension and ART front hubs, all stock otherwise. No shocks/springs/sways. Windshield is a .187" Racing Shields Lexan shield. Straight and true, but ugly enough to make a pretty convincing chump car, sadly, or a great base for someone who's wrecked a race car and needs to reshell. $2500obo.

Curious about that hood and it's magical heat extraction properties...

Wow. Hopefully the 'other' car is still a miata?

I -REALLY- want to justify buying that intake manifold, but I can't find any before/after dyno sheets and I'm broke :(

I'd take the intake mani/small TB if it's available- it bolts up to a 99 head- yes?

Looks like Der Idiot has dibs if he can find some cash

Still available. The only dibs I respect are the one where you've paid me for it already. Shoot me a PM for shipping/payment details.

Pic of the one-off fuel rail:

I tried to get you to make me a twin of the rail and you would not. I am still sad over that.

Whats the reason for getting rid of the motor and hardtop?

Motor isn't necessary for the new car (yet... ), and I'd rather sell this one today and build another in 12 months. Hardtop is a race-only part that won't be useful in the new car. I'd love to keep the diff, too, but a $3k race diff in a street car is kind of silly.

I saw this posted up in the Team949 Group, gave me a sad. :( I figured messaging you over here would be quicker.

I know that Precision 600 has some miles on it, what's it look like these days? Got recent pics?

God damn you for ending Theseus. God damn you for selling that wing to someone already.

Love,
Ryan

Bump. Open to offers on the motor, diff, and car. Pretty firm on the hardtop.
