I just got these installed over the weekend and wanted to give my impressions on everything.
Seller: Bauer Limited Productions had excellent customer service. Communication was great and he got the parts shipped out to me the same day that he received them in. The group buy price was unbeatable. I was on the fence about ordering a set from Flyin Miata but the fact that they did not have an estimated ship date was concerning. I’m glad I held off and got in on this group buy. Quality: Out of the box, the parts looked exceptional. The casting quality was on par with the oem piece with no noticeable imperfection or casting flaws. The dust boot looked to be thick and very durable. Once you crack the ball joint free for the first time the joint was smooth with absolutely no looseness or slope like my 100k stock ball joints. Overall I can’t find any complaints here. Durability: No Idea. They withstood a canyon run without any hiccups. Only time will tell. I hope to put many track miles on them in 2016 and will report back if there are any issues. Functionality: Excellent! They do exactly what their advertised to do. My last miata was only about to get a maximum of 2.7 degrees of camber. With the extended ball joints I was able to get the car aligned to -3.5 degree and hit the 949 Racing “Race” alignment spec. I’m sure they could achieve more camber but I did not ask the shop to max them out. In the pic bellow you can see the dimension change from the OEM ball joint to get an idea of how this part shifts your eccentric bolt camber adjustment range. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1450154056 Cons: The only quirk is that the OEM castle nut is a 21mm and this one uses a 22mm. No idea why but just a heads up since 22mm is a less common socket size. All in all I’m very pleased with this purchase. It’s nice knowing that I’ll never have to worry about the LBJ bushing tearing or failing for the next 6+ years. And that I’ll be able to hit any front camber spec that I’d ever want to run. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1450154056 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1450154056 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1450154056 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1450154056 EDIT: Alignment Specs are with a 4.2" front pinch weld height |
Wow, so much negative camber while having so much caster as well. Are you on different spindles?

ELBJ's are forged
Thanks for the write-up Chris. :) A couple of points: Flyin' Miata doesn't have a firm ship date because I haven't given them one yet. The main shipment was supposed to arrive before Christmas (it's on the water now), but now we're shooting for end of 2015. Not their fault.
949 Racing will also carry them. Last, these parts are coming out of a brand new FORGING. They're stout, and this shipment was the first out of a brand new mold. A red-hot ball joint blank is forged by placing it in a formed pocket where literally tons of weight come crushing down on the hot part. The molecules are forced together, making it stronger. After that, they're put in a jig and drilled out where the main BJ hole becomes the main dimension for all other mounting points. Another shipment is on the water, and these will have the laser etched logo that will be required if you're going to run these in NASA. SCCA will be contacted as soon as we have some logo'd parts in stock. |

I received mine yesterday, haven't opened the box yet! I can't wait to run max caster!

When you say they need the logo to be legal for NASA is that spec Miata or like TT/PT
