Flyin Miata/BEGI CARB Legal turbo kit
Just so there is no confusion and some buyer gets bent out of shape, this kit is NOT CARB legal on a 2000 chassis, but it IS on a 1999 chassis. It will install just fine on a 2000, but there is no way in hell it will pass inspection legally due to the way the CARD EO was written.
If I had a 99 I'd seriously consider buying it. GLWS.

And yes, the EO only applies to the car on which it was tested and previous years, so even though a 2000 is identical a 99, the fact that it was tested on a 99 means that it can only be legal for 99 and earlier.

COME AT ME BRO.
This is accurate.
Also, listen to Ian. He's the only person I've ever met that owned the CA legal CA version of the 99 CARB legal kit.

I'm in need of a FM exhaust manifold for a 1.8, please let me know if you would consider selling it alone. Otherwise, good luck with sale. Everything looks clean and organized so I'm pretty sure people can buy with confidence.
The exhaust manifold and turbo will fit. I think the down pipe will fit, and the intercooler setup should be fairly close. The intake manifold won't fit (needs an NB head). The management system is plug-n-play for an NB1, but the connectors wrong for an NA8. Furthermore, even if you solved that, the whole fueling concept is wrong because there isn't enough headroom in the NA8 injectors to lengthen the pulses for the turbo due to lower fuel pressure.
The CARB legal 97 kit used a rising rate fuel pressure regulator and some timing retardation box, rather than the piggyback Link.

Is the link a piggyback or a standalone? And if it's a piggyback how good of a piggyback is it? I haven't read anywhere about what this turbo kit entails. Just know this is the turbo kit FM used to offer back in the day.
The LINK is a piggyback management system. It has proven to be a reliable method of tuning, hence Flyin Miata providing them with their kits. For CARB compliance you must retain the OEM computer and OBDII communication. This is kit is no longer produced, but I believe it may be the only available CARB approved turbo for NB1 owners.
