Default FM Wiseco Turbo pistons and ETD rods

Time to clean out the spares.

Flyin' Miata 9:1 1mm overbore pistons with ETD forged rods.

These have 2,000 miles on them tops. I had some issues with my crank, leading me to scrap the entire motor. One pison's coating is worn in spots, but does not affect functionality. I have one extra ring set (1 cyl worth).

I weep openly when I think about how much money I have in these.

$500 obo + shipping.

Hey,

I'm interested in the Pistons and Rods. Not enough posts to PM yet...

Can you go into a little more detail on what's happened to them? How the coating got worn? Was this the setup in the motor from your build thread?

Just any details you can give...

Thanks

Bird

I'm so tempted to buy. But I wasn't planning on building my engine until next year >_>

Yep, these are the piston/rods from my build.

The machinist I used didn't catch that the crank has been cut once and used standard sized bearing, which were just able to get the clearances into factory spec. Add high revs and some boost and the clearances opened up, allowing the reciprocating assembly to move around in the bore. #1 cylinder was the worst, and is furthest on the right in the pics.

Edit: If you need measurements I can break out the calipers this weekend.
