Dudes asking for someone to install his motor/turbo in exchange for a free 6 speed as a payment.

Well if he have a trailer and ready to drive 7 hours north, I can do it next week.

 

Lol I just posted there too... He is an hour and 1/2 North of me I told him that I could help out if he can get the car to my work

 

GET IT^ Six speed is ****, a bit loose, but with the six speed and 4.30 my 94vvt is a rocket.


Almost free he wants someone to put his engine and turbo kit in for the 6 speed. Was kinda hoping it was Cali or Vegas local but East coast:(

 

Working on it lol... If he can find a way to get it towed down to me then I will be doing the job and getting the free 6spd and a free blown up 1.8 motor... Which is awesome because I have a scrap yard directly next to my work. Ill throw the motor in a company pick-up and get a couple bucks for the block

 

Free 6spd for me! He is bringing the car on Weds... Now I just hope everything goes smooth with the motor swap!

 

U doing his turbo too? If so ensure he has everything he needs and isnt bringing u some jacked up bullshit kit with failaids and herpes all over it.

 

He has a voodooII kit... On links apparently. I am going to write up something and have him sign that I assume no liability for anything that happens to his car

 

Car, new motor/trans are now in my possession. I'llpost pics of the car/turbo set-up tomorrow. Its pretty bad...

Tonight I split the 6spd from the new "used" motor... He said it has 20k on it but judging by the amount of grease on it and torn shifter turret boot... I'd guess it's around 100k. whatever. Im going to throw the new motor in it and throw the turbo kit together and hand him back the keys... Not much I can do other than that. I hope it dosen't blow up on the way home.. I'm 99% sure it's on aids

You got this. What kind of band-aids does he have? Just do your best to make it work right with what he has. If he doesn't have a wideband tell him to disconnect the WG because you couldn't possibly tune it, or be sure of its state of tune. If he wants to risk it that's on him.

 

I'm pretty clueless about bandaids... All I know is that it has a stock MAF in line with the intercooler piping, a FPR, tons of red vacuum lines, and a electronic box in the glove box that says Link... Not sure if it works or not

So old link piggyback, FM old turbo kit with cast mani, poor bolts connecting the turbo those gonna fail, is that 2 extra injectors with a rubber line that will break and spill fuel everywhere ?

Don't ask me how I know the last part.. :(

 

The turbo is welded to the manifold, so that's all I swapped over together lol... Its rough but I should be able to get it running... Hopefully this weekend.. I want it over and done with lol

And wtf is the point of the 2 extra injectors?

 

Extra fuel and cooling I believe.
