I have the 1.6 from my miata that overheated. It was shut down pretty much immediately afterward. I have taken the head off and all the bores are still mint. The head will obviously need to be leveled because it overheated. Also its missing stuff like the crank bolt, there is no flywheel, and will need new rubber hoses, timing belt stuff....blah blah. Cheap stuff. The bores have slight surface rust but if you just put some wd40 on it and put it back together it will start right up (read: wd40 + your finger will rub it off). Also the cams may have some surface rust too, I havent looked, but 1.6 cams...someone will probably pay you to take their spares out of their garage... The motor currently has like 200k on it, so its not new by any means but it wasn't burning oil and I drove it 300 miles each way between fredericksburg and blacksburg to and from college. The reason it overheated was one of the small rubber hoses coming from the tstat housing burst. It emptied the cooling system in all of 5-10 seconds.

Someone has got to want this thing...
