Default freshly machined, gasket matched, and lightly polished BP-05 head

first off i have all the miata coolant parts to convert it to the rwd version.

i just picked up my 96 kia BP-05 head from the machine shop. it was pressure tested, milled .020, and all the valves and seats were re ground. all the valve guides are tight and the hla's have been cleaned and all the valve stem seals have been replaced. i do not have new cam seals but i will install them if you want. there is almost no wear on the cams or hla's due to the car i pulled it from only had 68k on it. does not come with the valve cover

i did all the gasket matching my self(i have done almost every engine i have ever owned) with brand new gaskets. i used a combination of a carbide cutter, a 100 grit sanding drum, and 100 grit sand paper to match and smooth the ports.

the only bad thing is that the water exit port(the one that goes from the head to the heater) was all corroded so i removed it and am going to replace it with a brass 1/2" NPT 90* to a barb fitting.

im looking to get my money invested back of $350(150 for the head and 200 in machine work) plush shipping. im selling it cause i am switching plans on my spitfire project and am going to go FE-3N instead of BP

ill post up pics upon request.

I joined just because I saw this listing at another computer and it required me to join to see it again, hah.

Would you include the coolant parts for the conversion? How about the cam seals?

Pics would be awesome as well.

I'm located in Miami beach, Fl.

that includes cam seals, cams with gears, and all the rwd parts. but from what ive read youd want to keep the fwd set up to do the coolant re-route.

ill snap some pics of it tonight or tomorrow... i thought i already had some but i cant find them anywhere

I'm working on my car and thought of doing some headwork myself, so I'm very interested in this.

Pics Please.

Have there been any issues with the BP Kia heads being any lesser quality than the Miata heads? Cams Different..etc? I need to research this out before I buy.

the only difference i have found is that the kia cams are solid as opposed to miata cams which are hollow for a slight weight reduction. i could find no difference in cam profile when i was searching.

i didnt get a chance to get to my shop last night but ill head there right after work tonight... just realized youre in sac... you can come take a look at it if you want. my shop is off of madison and 80 PM me your number if interested
