Default FS 1.8 Diff /w RX7 LSD Rebuilt, Spacro Harnes, & More

For Sale:

Rebuilt RX7 Clutch Type LSD. I had this rebuilt 1.5 years ago roughly, only used Motul Fluids + LSD addictives in it. Fluids have been changed every other event. I can't remember the final drive ratio though. I forgot if it was a 94 or 97 open diff that i put it into. Ring gear and pinion was inspected, new bearings(pinion Outer and Inner, side seals, pinion seals) Paid to have it installed because i dont know how to caculate lash and backlash. I never replaced the Diff bushings though, if you want i can get you energy diff bushings for a really good price. $500 OBO. Picked Up

SOLD!!!

haha yeah. i wanted to go more agressive. i just got a open from Abe and throwing in a Kaaz 1.5 way with a 3.9 final drive.

as far as shipping, i'm going to hold off for a bit if no one local i will ship it.
maybe i can just throw it in the box for the open diff that i'm getting and ship it in that. LOL

As an FYI, I have the axles and drive shaft to go with this diff.
Axles already have correct circlips as well.
A diff can be wrapped and shipped in a box stuffed with cardboard. It works.

What carrier is this? and miatanutz should pm me a price on that stuff, because I will want to buy them if I pick up this diff. Hopefully when all is said and done, this will all cost less than a torsen set up, although i have a feeling it won't. Am I missing anything for a sway into a 1992?

According to Solomiata the torsen is a better unit. Now I have to actually research this stuff and find out on my own.

No. Only time it may be 'better' is strictly when is use for autox, (which may be his perspective)
and then more likely on short tight courses.
Otherwise not so. In road racing, drag racing, drifting, or any other similar use the clutch type will outperform a torque sensing diff. Thats pretty much common knowledge.

Mild threadjack, I cant get ahold of your friend Danny's shop. Is it still open? Was he a victim of the recession?

GLWS on the LSD. You wouldn't want to trade some turbo parts for it?

Well not really better or worse but more preference. Just different methods of power delivery. Clutch type is more instant and torsen more gradual. If you're doing stuff like drifting clutch type is a must, road racing is more preference.

oh haha. Danny actually merged with one of his friends, it made more sense to work together then compete with each other. you can reach him at danny(at)mindscorp.com
or phone. 1-562-908-8805. he acutally has a website now too. http://www.mindscorp.com/index.html if anyone needs aftermarket parts you can contact him and say i refered you, he will give you a good price. he's a really good friend of mines. if you need other stuff like OE replacement parts or tires i can refer you to other people too.

as far as turbo parts, no i dont need anything at the moment. i will need a GT2871 later, but need to build engine first. thanks though.
