Default 6 spd w/ shifter

I just had a new six speed installed because I thought the synchros in my current one were bad. I am now suspect that I may have had the large boot installed improperly causing the shifter to pop out of gear in gears 1 thru 4. On the way to the shop the large boot was removed, and it never popped out once. In which case, me being a dumb *** could benefit someone.

Here is a pick of the boot currently installed. I had the boot installed with the white plastic ring at the base of the shifter. The rubber boot looked like a bulls eye if you looked straight down on it.

This trans shifted super smooth. No notchiness at all. I used motorcraft synthetic.

The trans does leak. I could never locate the leak, but the new trans is not leaving any drips in the garage.

It comes with what is in the pictures.

This is being sold as is: I'm going to describe it as a leaky 6spd with bad synchros.

$400 shipped

For an extra $50 shipped I will through in an almost complete 6 spd worth of internal parts. Synchros included. I've got pictures and description floating around in t he for sale section if you search.

P.S. I am planning on attending the Green Day concert in Atlanta on the 9th. I will head back home at lunch on the 10th. If you want to meet me in Atlanta. "You meet me" where I am staying. I will sell every thing to you for $350

I'll be out of town when you're here in Atlanta, but I may have someone that can help me get it from you while you're here. Otherwise, you're not far away, I'll come get it.

I'm going to work it like this:

I don't really want to hassle with shipping so I am going to order everyone geographically. Mx5roadster is first because he lives just down the road from me. RotornutFD3S is 2nd etc.

You can pick it up tomorrow if you want it. If you don't get it this week, I will take it to Atlanta if Rotor still wants it. If the top two don't buy it, then I will let everyone know and I'll ship it to the first person that pays.

I'd be 3rd, but I have to pay southern cylinder for all the work they've done on your (my) block... don't forget this fall man - Chin at Barber.

Man Bryan, I didn't realize you were looking for a 6 speed. Hows the motor build going? Expense making you want to cry yet :P
I' waiting for the Chin registration to open up. I already got the go ahead from my wife. I'm trying to get the car in order. I think I made an expensive mistake with this trans. I'd rather sell it cheap as a broken one and have someone feel like they got a deal, rather than sell it like there is no problem and have someone upset. I spent 1k on the new 6 with installation. ouch!
