they are oem mazda. they are from the fwd turbo 1.8 motor from japan

cylinder spacing on 1.8 (BPT) is different than 1.6. they will not work.

Will this cam drop in on my VVT head?

Is it any better for boost than the stock 01+ exhaust cam? I found the specs for the stock cams here: http://www.solomiata.com/cams.html but am having difficulty comparing the specs.

No it won't work with solid lifters.

So drop in for my 97 1.8? if so I think I may take them.
