FS:Heavily modified JR Supercharger for 99 Miata
2 Attachment(s)
I've decided to sell the JRSC kit in favor of a turbo. I would like to line up a buyer/give someone time to get the money together.
The s/c has ~60k on it and makes no bearing/vibration noise. The base kit has been modified to be unthrottled, which makes the s/c boost much faster and be significantly louder. Due to this , i also added on a Greddy Type-S bov to make the setup work the way it should. The kit also includes a 150mm crank overlay and 62.5mm s/c pulley. Good for about ~8-9psi depending on intake temps. Cool stuff..... Insta-boost Kit. This was kinda experimental, and turned out to work great. It works by leaving the throttle body in the stock location (or if you never had a s/c kit, you DO NOT have to move the throttle body...which makes install times much less). When you blip the throttle , boost is right there and ready to go. I know we have heard the response of the stock JRSC is fast, but this is even faster. Due to having the tb after the s/c, i added a blow off valve to vent the air between shifts. It does not sound like a typical turbo car, it's just a quick sneeze until the supercharger's bypass valve takes actioin to recirculate the air. Im also including a 4-2-1 OBX header. These tend to be hit or miss on quality. This is one that they got right, fits with no problems (no vibrations, to rattles). I had the header out back in June while i changed the clutch and inspected it for any damage. Was just fine, so i re-wraped it with header wrap and put it back in. The kit *DOES NOT INCLUDE* the intercooler setup, but it will come with the JR crossover pipe and all the vacuum lines needed (as well as a diagram for all the routing). -M45 supercharger -cast crossover pipe -All mounting hardware -dummy throttlebody -intake tract and filter -stock s/c pulley -62.5mm TDR s/c pulley -150mm crank overlay pulley -Greddy Type-S bov -Belt for use with the 150/62.5mm pulleys -OBX 4-2-1 header -all needed vacuum lines -idler/tensioner pulleys I suggest having some kind of fuel control (FM Voodoo Box, JR Powercard) BEFORE installing the s/c. $2200 firm. I've seen it in person. It is a very solid setup.
Like I told you before Mike, have to talk to my g/f's dad about possibly getting this for her '02... What were you using for fuel control? I have to be sure to give him a complete price list. |
im using a voodoo box

any problems fitting this to a 97 1.8L??

I cannot exactly say yes or know as i do not know what the differences are in mounting between a 99 and a 97. I had a 96 and knew it quite well and i dont see any notable difference between it and my 99. But a quick search in hell.net (lol... i hope you get this!) might give you more insight.
