(no power card, msd, or fuel) i will post a picture as soon as i take on later today. i am looking to get 800 or best offer. anyway just posting this up to start guaging some interest. located in northern new jersey rather not ship. willing to part out.

What year is it for? Are they SMOG approved?

antjimenez 10-08-2012 11:29 AM

i keep forgetting to post that, sorry its for a 1.6l. and by smog approved do u mean if it will pass inspection and such? cause i just passed inspection with the car no problems at all

RyanRaduechel 10-08-2012 11:50 AM

Is it a C.A.R.B. legal kit?

i wasnt sure what "carb legal" meant so i looked into it...Flyin' Miata : Tech : CARB information

as my car just passed inspection and had no problems in the state of new jersey, even with bigger injectors, i am guessing it is "carb legal", but i am not a professional. if anyone knows more about this please chime in. thanks

I<3flippyheadlights 10-08-2012 12:49 PM

pm'd. very interested in this.

antjimenez 10-08-2012 12:56 PM

uploaded two pics..sorry for the disgustingly dirty bay and such, as i said i just got the car..trying to bring back some life to it slowly.. bump

I<3flippyheadlights 10-08-2012 01:58 PM

When you take if off. Can you take apart the blower to show the screws? Maybe a video of spinning them?

antjimenez 10-08-2012 04:34 PM

this just in i am actually keeping the msd, power card, and fpr..so the couplers, blower, cross pipe, u pipe to filter, and filter is all for sale here. i do not want to put more work into this than i have to, i just want to show it works, and take it off and sell it. bump :]

I<3flippyheadlights 10-08-2012 04:49 PM

Are you planning on boosting the car another way? If you keep all that stuff on there, I don't think it will be very driveable. Whats the new price without fuel management?

antjimenez 10-08-2012 04:59 PM

exactly! going turbo:giggle: lol. and im leaving it at 800 or best offer because the lower i go, the even lower lowballs ill get.;) the blower works and is true so i shouldnt have to sell it for 200 lousy bucks. any reasonable offer is considered

antjimenez 10-08-2012 05:01 PM

also i did not install or set any of this stuff up so the ugly hose and nastiness was not me, my apologies.

I<3flippyheadlights 10-08-2012 05:20 PM

200 bucks? Thats crazy! I'll give you 300 plus shipping :P

thenuge26 10-08-2012 05:20 PM

Going from blower to turbo: fail -> win

Keeping your old bandAIDS: win -> fail

antjimenez 10-08-2012 05:27 PM

hahaha i know man i know, just until i have the right stuff. i know im supposed to "do it right the first time" haha. but the turbo is teasing as it sits in my room. MS will come after this is sold

I<3flippyheadlights 10-08-2012 05:35 PM

Sell me everything, buy megasquirt with the money. You win.

thenuge26 10-08-2012 05:39 PM

Hey, I am a noob too. And who am I to be giving advice when my ride is bone stock ATM.

That said, a new engine is more expensive than an MS.

Here are a few:

MS1 for $250

MS1 with MS2 daughter board $250

MS2 for $450

MS1 with no price listed

Its whether you can afford to, its whether you can afford not to.

I<3flippyheadlights 10-08-2012 05:54 PM

Band aids doesn't mean you're engine is gonna blow up silly noob. It just doesn't give you as much tuneablility (is that a word) as a standalone ECU. They also limit what you can do with the stock ECU. With band aids you can get to about 6 psi and call it a day. Not bad if thats what you are looking for (which I am) but, if you want to go above that you will need a stand alone.

Which causes your engine to blow up, since your engine needs the correct amount of fuel.

I<3flippyheadlights 10-08-2012 06:41 PM

Dude... it still delivers the proper amount of fuel. If it didn't they wouldn't sell it. Its a RRFPR, it has one job, that job is to raise the amount of fuel sent to the injectors when the car hits boost. Is it the best way to get fuel? No. Am I using my fuel to the most efficient form? No. Can I get more boost? No. Will it give me the right amount of fuel? Yes. Will it do its job? Yes. Will it give me the power goals I want at this time? Yes. Please, don't shit on peoples ideas/threads. If he wants to keep the set-up, or I want it don't blast it. especially when you claim to be a noob but you have 300 something posts. Obviously you have learned next to nothing. Someone explained to me why MS would be better and cost about the same. (If you put some work into it) What you linked was worthless information about MS. So please, don't bring that up. If you can't get it that this set up is cheap, reliable boost then you are an idiot. For 800 bucks~ you can increase the power of the Miata by 50% and not blow something up.

Yeah, lots of work. Plug it in, connect to laptop, drive.

I<3flippyheadlights 10-08-2012 11:48 PM

If it was that simple, everyone would do it. You're an idiot.

mghtymouse380 10-09-2012 10:38 AM

If I were you I wouldnt keep the powercard with a turbo. Hold off on putting the turbo on and get a MS. Sell the kit as a whole and then get the standalone. All that the powercard does is dump fuel. Ask me how I know.

Flippyheadlights is a good person to sell the kit to. He is easy to call up and more than willing to work with you. GLWS

antjimenez 10-09-2012 11:03 AM

i understand, but im a college student and this is my only car...cant afford to have it sitting in a garage till i buy mega squirt so id rather use the "bandaids" for a month to get my finances in order before going megasquirt. as of right now, without the fuel and such, flippyheadlights ill take 650 +ship. and maybe we can work something out on once i get MS to grab the extras. lots of people interested in this

I<3flippyheadlights 10-09-2012 11:32 AM

Dude I'm in the same boat, this is why I'll be using the same set up. It needs to be plug and play. Sure its limited, but it works for the time being.

That seems fair for the supercharger. Take it all off, take the blower apart, if it looks good we will talk cash. I'm ready when you are hombre.

Thanks Mighty for the compliment. Hope everything has worked out on your end.

mghtymouse380 10-09-2012 11:40 AM

No problem. Im not saying to have your car down. What I am saying is run the car naturally aspirated for a week or two until you can get everything ordered. Dont forget that a turbo isnt just a bolt on application like the supercharger. You have to have all of your lines ran and alot of other then in order to run it.

And flippy if this doesnt work out for you I will be in contact with you in about a week.

I<3flippyheadlights 10-09-2012 01:01 PM

Orly? Good news there. But Mighty is right on all accounts. Turbos produce more power then a supercharger, but with that comes a bit more attention. Hence why I'm going with a supercharger while the Miata is still my DD.

antjimenez 10-31-2012 05:12 PM

bump for just taking this whole thing off today :]

I<3flippyheadlights 10-31-2012 07:47 PM

I want it!

antjimenez 11-01-2012 07:48 PM

payment has been made by flippyheadlights, and the item will be sent shortly. :]
