FS: NB engine stuff (including injectors!)

Have a complete engine out of a 2003 miata, I am keeping the block and crank, pretty much everything else is for sale.

I also have injectors out of a 2005, with 5000 miles. I'd like to get $50 for those.

Let me know if you need anything.

Good price on the injectors. Someone needs to jump on them. My NB injectors (currently in Atlanta93LE's car) are the tits.

What about the fuel rail itself? I need one.

nester 06-18-2007 11:33 AM

I have the rail too, but it's returnless, so I don't think you want it..

Ben 06-18-2007 11:35 AM

Yup, actually I do, for a good price. :)

MazDilla 06-18-2007 11:51 AM

How about the MBSP & Oil Pan? If those are up for grabs PM me.

steelrat 06-18-2007 12:12 PM

How much for the head? Or is it toast?

Dave,

Yup. Surprising how well they've been working at ~7psi.

Given that he over heated it would be a toss up on the head. From the look of the block it didn't look to horiible though you might get lucky.

Slidin'Miata916 06-18-2007 01:05 PM

are overheating these motors this fragile? When I had my 5.0 it would over heat like crazy after sessions then be perfectly fine. Is there a specfic reason for this?

magnamx-5 06-18-2007 01:13 PM

Aluminum head on our cars vs steel on the 5.0 most likely.

Ben 06-18-2007 01:14 PM

It's never a good idea to overheat your motor, no matter what it's made of. The miata engine is a steel block with an aluminum head. Because steel and aluminum expand and contract at different rates, it's likely to pop the HG or warp the head with an overheat.

Solution: Don't overheat

Slidin'Miata916 06-18-2007 01:24 PM

OHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok. I didnt know our heads were aluminum.....that explains it then. Thanks :D

nester 06-18-2007 02:26 PM

The head is slightly out. When you put a straight edge on it, you can almost get a feeler under it between #2 and #3. It's certainly rebuildable, and it may very well be just reusable with a light touch up from a machine shop. The valve seals do not appear to be leaving, and everything looks to be ok. Cams are still in it.

MBSP? is that the main support thing? I would want to keep that for use in a future build.

Oil pan is available.. it's the one off the 05.. I drilled a hole in it for a oil return but then decided to reuse my old one.

Also have a OEM clutch, PP, and flywheel.. 5k miles as well.

Coils are available. I know those are ~90 each new, so make me a reasonable offer.
